RENTING A HOME
If you are looking for a house to rent, the safest and the most efficient way is to engage a NVM broker (see below) experienced in assisting expats. Our specialised team of expat brokers will provide you with tailor made advice, for example which neighbourhood is most suitable for you. NassauHuis will provide you with current property listings, based upon your residential needs, budget and family composition. Once we have found a home, which meets your requirements, we will engage in negotiations, advice you on the legal aspects in the Netherlands, and will professionally assist you throughout the whole process.
BUYING A HOME
Buying a house or apartment abroad is a decision with major consequences. As an expat you might not be very familiar with the residential real estate market in The Hague, nor with legislation and specific juridical issues that involve buying a property. Our specialised expat broker will listen to your needs and advice you. Your profile will be entered into the NVM Exchange System, which ensures you that we e-mail you houses which meet your wishes. We will assist you during the viewings, and advise you on the value of the house. With your approval, we will act in your interest and successfully guide you throughout the process from beginning to end.
SELLING OR RENTING OUT YOUR HOME
Also in case of selling or renting your house as an expat, it is wise to engage a NVM broker. Each NVM broker has unique connections to both online and offline networks, which can help you find a buyer or tenant at the right price and conditions. In some cases a valuation (appraisal) report may be necessary. Every NVM broker is also a registered valuer/appraiser and can draw up a certified valuation report within a few days.
When renting out your property while you are abroad you might require a property manager to represent you on location and to keep an eye on the condition and maintenance of your investment. We would be very pleased to assist you.

NVM
The NVM is a Dutch branch organization of Real Estate agents and Appraisers.
Almost 75 percent of Dutch houses are sold by Real Estate Agents who are members of the NVM. NVM members exchange information about the varioius characteristics of properties on the market and on transaction prices. This information is stored in an extensive database which is only accessible to NVM members. The database provides information on median transaction prices for properties in each quarter, as well as annualized data stretching back to 1985.
